Flu Vaccination Clinics

We will be holding our usual Saturday morning flu vaccination clinics this year but there will be a slight change to how they are run.  There will be no parking available in the surgery car park as we will be needing to use that for a queuing system.  When you book you will be told the colour (red, green, yellow or blue) of the clinic that you have been booked into.  Please ensure you make a record of that colour as you will need to join the appropriate queue.  There will be a socially distanced queuing system in the car park, so please look for your colour to join the correct queue.  To avoid the build up of large queues, please arrive at the time of your appointment, please do not arrive early.  Please also wear appropriate clothing which you can quickly remove to give access to your upper arm.

As last year, there will be two main vaccines available.  Those patients aged 65 or over on 31 March 2021 will be eligible for the Seqiris Trivalent Fluad vaccine.  Patients aged under 65 will be eligible for the Mylan Quadrivalent vaccine.  Please ensure you book into the correct clinic for your age so you have the appropriate vaccine to give you maximum protection.

Additional clinics will be added in due course.

The Government recently announced that patients aged 50 - 64 who do not have a long term health condition will now also be eligible for the flu vaccination.  These patients will be vaccinated later in the season once the majority of those that are at higher risk have been vaccinated.  Please do not book into the clinics mentioned above.

Flu Clinics - Thank You

Thank you to all the patients who have attended our flu clinics. We really appreciate you following our request for you to attend at the time of your appointment and not too early. This meant the clinic ran smoothly and safely.  Thank you.

Please treat our staff with respect

Recently we have been having increasing occasions where patients are being rude and abusive to our staff, including our Receptionists, Nurses and Health Care Assistants.  Our surgery is working under unprecedented strain at the moment due to excessive demand and a reduction in capacity because of COVID precautions.  All our team try their best to help but sometimes solutions are not immediately available.

Please treat our staff with the respect they deserve as they have worked very hard throughout this whole COVID crisis and are continuing to do so under very difficult conditions.

Thank you.
