New! Patient Participation Group – April 2025
Our new Patient Participation Group (PPG) has its first meeting on 28th April. Places have now been filled for this date, however if you wish to take part and get involved next time, please see below for joining information.
What is a PPG? A PPG is a group of people who are patients of the surgery and want to help it work as well as it can for patients, doctors and staff.
Why should I join? You have been to the surgery as a patient, parent, carer or friend. Your experiences matter and you can bring different ideas to the surgery to help us treat patients better or to improve what we do in some way. You will also gain a better understanding of the NHS, and gather feedback from other patients.
Will my views be heard? Your views are important and will be listened to. It may not be possible to act on every suggestion, but all feedback is very valuable. Working in a spirit of mutual respect, openness and trust, all patients’ views will be discussed and, where appropriate, we will work together on solutions.
How often does the Patient Participation Group meet? We’ll meet at the surgery on the first occasion, so everybody can put a name to a face. We know that you are busy, so we’ll only plan an in-person meet up once a year and hope that you can join us. We will communicate regularly via email. If you can’t make meetings then don’t worry – you can still be part of our virtual group.
How do I join? You can register your interest to join Parklands Surgery PPG by writing your name, date of birth and address on a slip of paper and sending it to the surgery addressed to the Practice Manager, or you can submit an eRequest (online contact form) and include your details (link to eRequest on the home page of this website). You are also welcome to drop into the reception and hand your details to a member of our team, who will pass them on to the Manager.
We look forward to seeing you.
